You Are a Good ExampleWe get along with each other.Even when I don't get along with myself. When I am filled with confusion, You remain clear. You are not drawn into my confusion. But I am drawn a little out of mine Into fresh air. So many others are drawn in To my confusion, depression or happiness. They don't like it. They shake themselves loose And walk briskly away. Leaving me alone and lonely. I sometimes forget How to be happy in myself Those who would be drawn in are no help. But you are not drawn in. You give me breathing space For my thoughts and feelings. I cannot help but be happy around you. All I really needed was to be reminded. That I am me and you are you. And that it is just fine |
