GenerationsI think there is some kind ofGenerational difference In how we perceive ourselves. People my age, Born in the 50's and early 60's Seem to say of themselves, "I'm afraid to know Who I really am." Or "This is who I am, If that's ok with you." People born a little later In the late 60's and early 70's Seem to take a more aggresive stand: "This is who I am If that's a problem for you, Tough!." Or sometimes the passive aggressive, "Whatever." But people now in their 20's Seem to have achieved a balance: "This is who I am," Is what they say. Nothing to prove Or defend against. Self awareness without friction, Fear, Or wasted effort. It's an inspiring example For the older By the younger. |
