Reset

One day I was feeling
That I'd reached the limit
Of what I could cope with.

Too much going on.
Too many obligations.
Self doubt building up inside.
Not enough of me to go around.
It was beginning to feel
Like a crisis was brewing.

I forget if it was you or me
Who asked to get together.

Sitting with you at dinner
Talking and listening to you.
Each of us sharing
A bit of our struggles
And a bit of our triumphs.

Sometimes a bit
Of friendly communion
To remind us
That we're not alone
Can be a big help.

I felt myself reset inside.
And the crisis faded away.
